Therapeutic Dungeons and Dragons

You may be feeling stressed, stuck, anxious or down. Instead of sitting and talking about your feelings in a traditional therapy setting, you might want to try going on adventures and slaying dragons, all with the goal of bringing the skills and knowledge you gain in d&d into your daily life.

8 WEEK GROUP STARTING October 12 in Victoria, BC

This is a confidential in-person group that meets weekly for 8 weeks for a d&d adventure, led by dungeon master and trained therapist David Denis. Prior to the start of group, participants will also have one individual meeting with David. During group, we will play through a custom d&d adventure that will span across 8 weeks. Each session will have time for gameplay as well as discussion aimed at bringing the therapeutic elements from gameplay into our lives.

WHO SHOULD JOIN:

Anyone who struggles with anxiety, low mood, stress or other mental health problems is welcome. David will do a free introductory first call to make sure this group is right for you. You do not need any prior experience with Dungeons and Dragons or therapy/counselling.

Anyone who is aged 18 and up is eligible for this group. If you are between 15 and 18 please contact David to be put on a list for an upcoming youth group.

This group will be an LGBTQ+ positive space and the group process will involve a collaborative world building process that reflects those values.
