Mental Training
David teaches athletes the importance of mental training. In esports playing at your peak is all about what is happening between the ears from critical decision making to executing with perfect precision utilizing the keyboard and mouse. The mental training David takes his players through help to train the mental muscles that aid in focus, emotional regulation, self-awareness, and discipline.
Performing Under Pressure
At the end of the day it is all about performing to your peak ability when it counts the most. The final round of a Counterstrike match or the game deciding teamfight in League of Legends - these are the moments when an esport athlete needs complete and unhindered access to all of their training. They need pure concentration and focus on the essential elements of the present moment with zero distractions from the crowd or from their own thoughts about winning or losing. Complete calm focus. Being in this state of performance particularly when pressure is highest is something to be trained.
David aids his players in developing a relationship to pressure where the player is excited and finds joy in pressure rather than fear and anxiety. This process is something David has done with hundreds of athletes over the course of his career.
