Performance Testimonials
“David has helped me a lot when it comes to psychological preparation, whether it'd be mental worries or how to approach a high pressure situation. The sport psychology approaches we practiced have been extremely helpful to me and I personally think it influenced my stage play in a positive way. All of the players on our team have always been grateful to have David around.”

“It is my great pleasure to personally recommend David for the role of Sports Psychologist at any eSports organization. When I started to work with David 2 years ago, I was a much less well-rounded coach and focused more on in-game help for our CSGO team. Through his structured guidance, I was able to implement several key areas of traditional sports coaching including conflict management, goal setting for myself and the team, and structuring our practices to be more productive. His extensive knowledge on team building was immediately apparent, and he seamlessly integrated himself into our team's culture. David's mentorship was a key aspect of us improving our team's day-to-day work ethic, which translated into us lifting the major trophy at eLeague Boston. I have no reservations giving him my highest recommendation for this position. ”
-- Soham Chowdhury, CSGO Coach and Manager
“Working with David on C9 has been incredibly helpful for me because he does a great job of being a reliable source of information about any of my inquiries regarding performance. He has helped me set up and improve my pre-game routine, encouraged and advised my mindfulness training, and most of all was someone who I could feel comfortable talking to about my performance insecurities so I could work on them.”
-- Greyson Gilmer, League of Legends Coach
“While working with David on GenG he really helped develop my approach to coaching, pushing me to work outside my comfort zone and view scenarios in ways I hadn't thought to. I always felt like during difficult scenarios or decisions talking to David made me see the situation more clearly and therefore helped me make a better decision. We also conducted quite a few player recruitment interviews together, this process was made a lot smoother and more insightful thanks to the approach taken by David, he would ask questions and get responses out of players that always left me feeling like I knew a lot more about the person we would be potentially adding to our roster. Lastly I was very impressed with the knowledge David had for CSGO, he had a real understanding for the game at a high level. This meant adding him to the team was seamless and he related to the players and myself really well.”
-- Chris Tebbit, CSGO and Valorant Coach
“Working with David helped me develop a process that I could rely on every day to train to be the consistent player I have become. Most CSGO players have similar skill but my work with David allowed me to use all of my skill consistently both in practice and in high pressure matches on stage. During the Boston Major I spoke with David before every match which was a critical help. I felt like I played very well and consistently throughout the entire tournament and David was a big part of that process. Any organization that works with David will benefit greatly from his experience and mentorship.”

Having David not only as a coach but as a mentor has given my career a huge jumpstart that other young players don’t typically get. I went from studying Computer Science at Texas A&M University to playing for T1 all because David scouted me out from a dying CS:GO scene in North America. Coming into the team I had a lot to work on: controlling my emotions, game knowledge, routine, and mindset, which are attributes that 70% of these VALORANT Pros don't know how to control yet. He taught me how to truly hone these skills and is a huge reason for my recent success in VALORANT. At first I wasn’t the best at controlling my emotions because I would rage and emotionally shut down during practices. We had countless meetings where I would vent all my frustrations team related and non-team related. The amount of improvement I have shown in the past year is not only a testament to how important mental strength is but how rare someone like David is. Despite the failures we endured on T1 together, David, we learned a lot from the experience and I can not be more grateful for your guidance. I am now able to say with the utmost confidence that I am ready to compete at the highest level in esports and Cloud9 has given me the opportunity to do so. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose to pursue next.
